Huddersfield Town Head Coach Carlos Corberán is expecting a very demanding game when his side welcome AFC Bournemouth to the John Smith’s Stadium on Saturday 19 March 2022.

Speaking to the press in his virtual press conference, Carlos discussed what the upcoming fixture.

“The fact that they are in the second position of the league shows that they have been excellent.

“They’re an amazing squad with a very good coach and that’s why they’re in the position that they’re in.

“The demands of the game are going to be very high, but that only increases our level of motivation to play against them.”

The Terriers go into the game hoping to bounce back from a 2-0 defeat to Millwall on Wednesday 17 March 2022. Town’s Head Coach commented on the feeling around the training ground following the result.

“You can say that this is the end of something, or you can say that it was one game.

“I was watching an opponent that were better than us in some moments and in some places on the pitch.

“It isn’t going to create any kind of frustration or sadness because it’s not part of our mentality.

“Our mentality is to try everything that we can try on the football pitch.

“Before the game I was telling the players that the physical demands of the game would be very high, and we couldn’t achieve the result that we wanted to achieve.

“Our mentality is always to show our best and try to see if we can show our real level.

“On Wednesday, we only saw that in a small period of time, and it wasn’t enough.

“We are going to take the responsibility to solve that in the next game.”

Town’s Head Coach also provided the latest injury update.

“We don’t have any new injury concerns so far.

“Today is the most important day for me, because the second day after a game is always the day that you know the position of each player in relation to any type of injury.

“Carel Eiting is better – he was training yesterday.

“He will train today and be one of the options that we have to create the squad.

“Tino needs longer to develop before he can start.

“He had a long-term injury, and we need to prepare him well.”
