Huddersfield Town Head Coach Carlos Corberán spoke to the press after watching his side draw two at the Hawthorns against West Brom.

Speaking about the pattern of the game, Carlos admitted that he was pleased with the performance until those closing moments.

“I was pleased with the performance of the team during the first 80 minutes, and I was frustrated with the last 10 minutes of the game.

“The action of the penalty changed a lot. The feeling is normal when you’re playing away, and we know from watching other games that one goal can change a game and change the feeling.

“It was a game we had clear control in defence and in attack, and as soon as they put on the striker we knew we’d be defending more crosses in the area because they have an important striker from the bench.

“We changed in that moment with Colwill and I was thinking it was under control, but you can never feel that you have a result until the last seconds of the game.”

Unclear about the penalty having not yet reviewed the incident, the Head Coach said that he thinks it’s a pity that the side couldn’t see out the result.

“It’s not easy to take a conclusion, because I think the action of the penalty changed the game and I don’t know if it was a penalty – I don’t know because I haven’t reviewed it yet.

“The clear learning that we can take is that a game isn’t over until you take the result that you want to take.

“I don’t think the players were feeling that the game was over and I watched the team defend with their normal intensity.

“The penalty changed the emotion, and for me the clear pity was that they score literally in the next action and we couldn’t keep the result, or the space and the time or the changes from the bench that allow us maybe to defend the result.”
