Ollie Turton says he has mixed feelings following Huddersfield Town’s 1-1 draw with Stoke City on Friday evening.

A game of two very different halves, Stoke City secured an equaliser in the 78th minute to see the points split at the John Smith’s Stadium.

Speaking to HTTV post-match, Turton gave his verdict on the match.

“Mixed feelings really.

“I thought in the first half we were really really good.

“I think in the second half obviously we wanted to do better to try and win the game and not drop the two points.

“It’s another game unbeaten and we’ll take it into the next game.”

A promising first half saw Town take the lead early on, something which the right back says the team must work on carrying on for the full 90 minutes.

“I thought the intensity we showed, we fully deserved to go into half-time with the 1-0.

“We’ve got to try and learn to build on that into the second half and hopefully get a few more goals or make sure we just don’t concede.”

The Terriers are back in action on Wednesday 2 February 2022, when they welcome Derby County to the John Smith’s Stadium. Turton commented on what the squad can take into that game.

“We want to try and repeat the first half and carry it on into all 90 minutes.

“We know we can do it, so it’s just putting it into practice.”
