Corberán makes seven changes to the line-up

- Huddersfield Town side named to face Burnley
- Seven changes for the Emirates FA Cup Third Round game
- Josh Ruffels & Jon Russell make their first Town starts

Huddersfield Town Head Coach Carlos Corberán has made seven changes to the starting line-up for today’s Emirates FA Cup game against Burnley; 12.30pm kick-off at Turf Moor.

Corberán, who is back in the dugout today having missed the draw at Blackburn Rovers due to a positive COVID diagnosis, has handed first competitive starts to summer recruits Josh Ruffels and Jon Russell.

There is also a first start of the season for Pipa, who has made one substitute appearance since returning from his long-term hip injury. This is the Spaniard’s Emirates FA Cup debut today.

There are first starts since August 2021 for Jordan Rhodes and Ryan Schofield too.

Naby Sarr is back from a two-game absence with a back problem to replace Levi Colwill, who isn’t involved today due to some minor knee irritation.

The final change to the side sees Jonathan Hogg return to skipper the team after a nine-game absence with a knee injury!

Danny Ward and Fraizer Campbell are among the nine substitutes today following their recent absences, but there is no Lee Nicholls in the squad – he is unwell, so B Team ‘keeper Nicholas Bilokapic on the bench.

Alongside Nicholls and Colwill, Corberán is without Álex Vallejo (knee), Rolando Aarons (knee) and Aaron Rowe (positive COVID test) today.
