Huddersfield Town defender Naby Sarr was pleased with the Terriers’ competitiveness in the 1-1 draw with Brentford at the John Smith’s Stadium.

Town had gone ahead through Lewis O’Brien early on and battled throughout but had to settle for a point against the promotion-chasers after Mads Bech Sørensen equalised in the second half.

Speaking after the game, Naby Sarr praised Town’s attitude across the 90 minutes.

“It’s a good point,” Naby told #HTTV post-match.

“That was a great fight against a top team of this league.

“I think we competed well and it’s a fair point.”

Despite the content at taking a point from one of the league’s top sides, Naby also expressed disappointment in the goal conceded, but acknowledges that the final score was a reflection of the game.

“We felt we could have had the three points; I felt the goal was avoidable.

“On the other hand, they had some great chances as well, they hit the post.

“There is frustration, but we have to be realistic, and I think it’s a fair point.”

The defender is now focused on recovery and preparation for the Terriers’ next outing against Norwich City in the Sky Bet Championship on Tuesday (6 April) evening.

“It’s another tough game, away this time,” he said.

“We just have to focus on recovering well and we go again.”
