Dean Whitehead is expected to take a strong side to Morecambe for the Club’s first Central League game of the season on Tuesday afternoon.

The game will offer important minutes to several members of Danny Cowley’s First Team squad, with the rest of the side being made up of some of the most promising Young Terriers on the Club’s books.

Town have been placed in the five-team North West division of the Central League alongside Morecambe, Blackpool, Fleetwood Town and Tranmere Rovers.

Tuesday afternoon’s game will take place at Morecambe’s Globe Arena, with kick-off scheduled for 1pm. Any supporters who want to watch the game live can do so, with admission free of charge, or alternatively you can follow live text updates of the game on Town’s official Academy Twitter account, @htafcacademy!

“When we field an Elite Development Team, the focus is on producing a top performance in order to win the game,” Whitehead explained.

“I want to see the players put all the things we work on in training together and to play at a high tempo with real intensity.

“This is the players’ chance to show everyone at the Club what they are capable of and to make a real impression.”
