Terriers first eSports involvement
- Two Town ePlayers compete in Premier League’s first eSports competition
- Croftyboy925 and Painter97 were Town’s players
- Town’s PS4 player bows out in the Quarter-Finals
Huddersfield Town bowed out at the Quarter-Final stage in the Premier League’s first-ever eSports competition.
It was the Premier League's first involvement in eSports with all twenty of its Clubs finding two players at competitions held between supporters.
Clubs were battling it out to be named the first ever virtual ePremier League Champions!
Town’s PlayStation winner was Jordan Croft (Croftyboy925) who progressed through Thursday’s group stages having secured wins over Fulham and Tottenham Hotspur.

The 17-year-old – who was also competing in his first competitive eSports tournament – was unable to cause an upset as he fell to a 4-1 defeat to Professional FIFA player Damie who was competing for Crystal Palace.
In the Xbox side of the competition, Thomas Painter (Painter97) was playing for The Terriers having won the Club Knockout competition held at Town’s PPG Canalside Training Ground on Wednesday 6 March 2019.
Painter secured wins over Wolves and Southampton in the Group Stages but was unable to progress to the knockouts finishing third in Group C.
