Ben Jackson & Kit Elliott move to Darlington on Work Experience

- Huddersfield Town Academy players leave on Work Experience
- Ben Jackson and Kit Elliott join Vanarama National League North side Darlington
- First experience of senior football for the teenage duo

Two Huddersfield Town Academy players will gain their first taste of senior football at Darlington after completing Work Experience moves today.

Versatile full-back Ben Jackson, 18, and striker Kit Elliott (above), 17, have joined the Vanarama National League North team to further their development as footballers.

Work Experience moves work like loans for players who are still on Academy scholarships and not on full-time professional contracts. They are open-ended, with no end date, and offer good flexibility to clubs.

Managed by Tommy Wright, the Quakers currently sit 17th in their division with 37 points from 34 games ahead of a game against Chester at their Blackwell Meadows ground.

Jackson (above) hails from Stockport and joined the Town Academy at Under-15 level. A very versatile player, Ben can play at full-back or on the wing on either side. He’s been a virtual ever-present for Town’s Under-19 and EDT sides so far this season, scoring twice in 32 starts and a substitute appearance.

Elliott, who turns 18 next week, joined Town’s Academy in the summer of 2018. A Londoner, he has previously played for Chelsea and Crystal Palace and has been capped by England at Under-16 level. A strong striker who is improving all the time, he has netted twice in 15 starts and 11 substitute appearances this season for the Under-19s.
