Town controlled large periods throughout the game, as good build up play saw various good chances go missing.

Town’s best chance came early in the second-half as 16-year-old midfielder Tom Bell played a great through-ball that led to a shot from the edge of the box by striker Micah Obiero, which flew just inches wide of the top corner.

A late push from the Oxford side saw its best chance come, but the ball was placed wide as Town’s keeper Luke Mewitt narrowed the angle.
