Town’s Under-19 side lost 3-1 against Harrogate Town in another tough test for the Young Terriers – and you can watch all the highlights from the match over on #HTTV.
Mark Hudson’s side started brightly, grabbing a goal just five minutes into the game. Olly Dyson instigated the move, flashing down the right-hand side before darting inside from the wing and beating his man; he then picked out Dom Tear at the back post, who finished the chance superbly.
Harrogate Town then began to hit its stride, and after Thewlis had a goal ruled out for offside, the constant runs in behind were rewarded with a well worked equalizer. The ball was lofted to Thewlis who stepped inside his man and laid it off to a trialist to fire it home. Harrogate’s second goal arrived just before half-time as Haswell hooked the ball across from the bye-line for another trialist to head accurately into the top left corner.
Town rallied in the second half, showing fighting spirit, with a lovely whipped ball from Harry Spratt missing the boot of Kit Elliott by fractions. However, Harrogate sealed the win late on, with a looped cross from a dead ball finding the head of Mark Beck to make it 3-1.
