Exclusive platform for Town fans to play the game

- How much do you know about The Football Pools?
- Town partners up with The Football Pools
- Bespoke online platform available for Town fans

Any mention of ‘The Pools’ may spark nostalgic thoughts in some, perhaps of family members discussing how they plan to spend the winnings when their Saturday afternoon predictions come in?

The game was launched in 1923 with reps first handing out coupons outside Old Trafford, giving supporters the chance to win large cash prizes by predicting football results.

Coupons listed a number of the weekend’s fixtures with the aim for fans to choose ten games that accumulate using the scoring system to reach the golden 24-point mark (outlined below).

3 points – Games ending in a ‘Score Draw’ (1-1, 2-2, 3-3 etc)
2 points – Games ending in a ‘No-Score Draw’ (0-0)
1 point – Games ending in a ‘Home Win’

The main aim is to predict eight of those games to end in a score draw, equating to 24 points!

You may have unknowingly heard the pools being read out or displayed on the side of football results tables up until recently, with postponed games having a predicted result – decided by the panel typically made up of former players and experts.

Did you know Town recently paired up with ‘The Football Pools’ to launch a bespoke online-based platform for supporters to make their predictions called Terrier Pools?

The Football Pools have been giving their customers the chance to win big cash prizes for over 90 years and have paid out over £3.2 billion over the years.

Why not visit terrierpools.com or download the app and have a go for the next round of fixtures?
