Huddersfield Town’s Under-18s beat Cardiff City 6-0 in the Professional Development League after a superb performance at PPG Canalside.

The young Terriers got off to a fantastic start and took the lead after just seven minutes through Dominic Tear against the Professional Development League South side.

Leigh Bromby’s side continued to create chances but couldn’t find a way past the impressive Cardiff City ‘keeper.

Tear’s strike separated the two sides at the break but in the second half the flood gates opened.

In the 49th minute Isaac Marriott made it 2-0 after his thunderous strike from 20 yards out went in off the bar.

Town’s Under-18s continued to press the Welsh side back and just nine minutes later George Danaher continued his recent goal scoring form to make it three.

Leigh Bromby’s side continued to pepper the Cardiff City goal and three goals in five minutes completed the scoring.

Isaac Marriott doubled his tally for the afternoon in the 78th minute before Cedwyn Scott scored his first goal since signing a professional contract with the Club.

In the 83rd minute Luca Colville completed the scoring and rivalled Marriott for goal of the game. He cut in from the touchline and arrowed a shot into the top corner from 20 yards out.
