FANZONE INTRODUCED AHEAD OF IPSWICH MATCH

16 January 2017

Sponsored by Perrys Vauxhall to improve fans’ match day experience

-    Brand new fanzone at PPG Canalside ahead of Ipswich Town match
-    Huddersfield Town fanzone starts at 11am
-    Further announcements to be made in the next coming days

Huddersfield Town is proud to announce the introduction of a fanzone at PPG Canalside ahead of the Club’s match against Ipswich Town on Saturday 21 January.

The fanzone, sponsored by new Club Partner Perrys Vauxhall, has been put in place to improve the experience for supporters on a match day and to benefit Town fans’ all-round match day experience.

Town welcomes fans of all ages to PPG Canalside at 11am on Saturday 21 January, to start their match day in a brand new, special way.

There will be a number of activities to get our younger fans even more excited ahead of Town’s match at the John Smith’s Stadium.

Globe Game Sports has provided a variety of games and challenges that will show off our supporters’ skills ahead of the 3pm kick-off. These include a speed cage (above), to test how hard you can kick a football, a dribble mat and a target cage (below)!

As well as this, Boothy’s Beer and Banter will be on in the Radcliffe Suite; this weekend Club Ambassador Andy Booth will be joined on stage with ex-European Cup winner Alex Stepney.

A pop-up Huddersfield Town Retail shop will also be at PPG Canalside so you can miss any queues at the Stadium and wear your Town colours with pride ahead of the match against Ipswich Town.

Sponsor, Perrys Vauxhall is also bringing some of its cars down to the Club’s Training Ground, to show the fans.

Captain Booth will be at the event, representing the Huddersfield Town Foundation and will have photos and sign autographs for the Club’s younger supporters.

A BBQ will be available for Town fans at PPG Canalside alongside the full match day menu on offer inside.

If you want an early football fix, Huddersfield Town’s Under-18s kicks off its U18 Professional Development League game against Crewe Alexandra at 11am.

Huddersfield Town’s Commercial Director Sean Jarvis commented:

“As a Club, we see a match day as a celebration day; you put on your Town shirt, come to PPG Canalside ahead of the game and then go to the Stadium at around 2.30pm. That’s why we’ve created a fanzone, so we can bring everyone together.

“We want families and friends to come to the Club’s training ground and start their match day early; there’s a number of activities for all ages to get involved in and I’m sure you will all thoroughly enjoy it!

“We are currently working on incorporating more activities at the fanzone; some will be announced later this week!”

Tickets are still available for the Ipswich Town match; adults from just £15!
