- More players visiting schools this week
Huddersfield Town’s First Team players paid a surprise visit to a local school on Wednesday morning to kick-start the Club’s ‘Schools Focus’ scheme in 2016/17!
Jack Payne, Kasey Palmer and newest recruit Tareiq Holmes-Dennis visited Christchurch Academy to take part in a surprise Q&A session for the school’s pupils, who asked some fantastic questions of the Town trio!
The players were there to hand out the new-look Schools Focus booklets, which give pupils and their families discounted vouchers to attend every home game of the 2016/17 Sky Bet Championship season in the Fantastic Media Family Stand at special discounted prices.
The hard work started on Tuesday, when Club Ambassador Andy Booth and several colleagues were out and about across the region to hand out 25,000 booklets across an amazing 100 schools!

“I’ve really enjoyed the start of the season; I’ve been a proud fan seeing pretty much 20,000 fans inside the John Smith’s Stadium for each of the first three games.
“Now we’re looking to build on that through our ‘Schools Focus’ scheme, which I’m delighted to confirm has been extended to every one of the home games this season.
“It’s really important that we ensure the children of the local area grow an affinity with Huddersfield Town and become our fans of the future. The best way to do this is through the players and it’s fantastic that they’ll be visiting a number of schools throughout the area over the next 48 hours to meet the pupils.”
