Aaron Mooy on loan from Manchester City got another international cap to make it 19 appearances for the 26-year old as he impressed in Australia’s tight 2-2 draw with Saudi Arabia on Thursday night.
The former Melbourne City midfielder made his impact felt for the away side as he whipped in a dangerous corner to be headed in by Sainsbury to send both teams in on level terms on the stroke of half time after Saudi Arabia had took the lead in the 5th minute. The Terriers loanee also put in a range of dangerous crosses which went close. Mooy who has made 11 appearances this season for Town, played the full 90 minutes for his country.
Australia now have 7 points in three games as they prepare to face Japan on Tuesday 11 October in Melbourne.
