Three changes to the starting XI

- David Wagner makes three changes to starting XI
- Mark Hudson, Sean Scannell & Rajiv van La Parra all start
- Christopher Schindler & Nahki Wells subs; Michael Hefele misses out

Huddersfield Town Head Coach David Wagner has made three changes to the starting XI for tonight’s Sky Bet Championship game against Wigan Athletic; 7.45pm at the John Smith’s Stadium.

The first change comes at centre back, where Mark Hudson returns after a two-game absence to skipper the side in place of Michael Hefele. ‘Hef’ drops out of the squad entirely this evening.

Tonight’s start is the 450th of Hudson’s career in all competitions.

There’s another landmark for the second player coming into the side tonight. Sean Scannell (pictured above) returns to the side on place of Nahki Wells to make his 100th Huddersfield Town start in all competitions.

The third and final change sees Christopher Schindler drop out of the starting XI for the first time this season. His place is taken by Rajiv van La Parra, who makes his first start in four games.

This means that 20 year-old Slovenian Jon Gorenc Stanković makes a first league start at home tonight, keeping his place after his full league debut at Cardiff City in the last game.

There’s a welcome return to the substitutes’ bench tonight for Harry Bunn, who has missed the last two fixtures with a hamstring injury.
