Centre back honoured for performances for Dynamo Dresden
- Michael Hefele named in 3. Liga Team of the Year- Centre back also named third best player in 3. Liga

Huddersfield Town’s summer recruit Michael Hefele has been named in the 3. Bundesliga ‘Team of the Year’ by the German Football Association.
The 25 year-old centre back, whose three year contract at the Club will begin on 1 July, has captained Dynamo Dresden to the 3. Liga Championship; his side finished eight points clear of the second placed side and lost just two of 37 league fixtures.
'Hefe', one of three Dynamo Dresden players named in the XI, made the selection after earning six 'Team of the Day' honours throughout the 2015/16 campaign. Click HERE for the full selection on the DFB website.

Hefele is the first defender to finish in the top three of the award since the German lower leagues were reformed in 2008 and the 3. Liga was created.
Michael played every minute of Dresden’s title winning season, scoring an impressive seven goals in the process.
