Early goal condemns young Terriers to defeat

- Town U18s lose at Watford
- Eighth minute goal settles the game
- Highlights on HTTV on Monday

An eighth minute goal from hosts Watford condemned a young Huddersfield Town Under-18 side to just a second defeat in nine on Saturday morning.

The Hornets scored inside eight minutes to lead at the interval, but dropped to 10 men with 20 minutes left after a red card.

Unfortunately, Professional Development Coach Leigh Bromby’s side – which included four Under-16s in the starting line-up – couldn’t find an equaliser.

Highlights of the game will appear on HTTV on Monday.

Town’s team (4-2-3-1):
Owen Brooke; Sam Gibson (Mason O’Malley, 62), Dylan Cogill, Jordan Williams, Rarmani Edmonds-Green; Alfie Raw (Adam Edgar, 46), Sam Warde; Luca Colville, Olly Dyson, Ben Jackson (George Danaher, 71); Cedwyn Scott

Unused subs:
Carl Rushworth, Scott High
