Scott and Tear score in derby win

- HTAFC Under-18s win at Leeds United
- Cedwyn Scott & Dom Tear score the goals
- Highlights on HTTV next week

A second goal at Under-18 level for Under-16 attacker Dom Tear secured a win in the Professional Development League 2 North West Yorkshire derby at Leeds United on Saturday morning.

The win propelled Tony Carss’ side up to third in the northern table, just two points outside the all-important end of season Play-Off zone.

United took the lead midway through the first half at Thorp Arch, but first year striker Cedwyn Scott (pictured above) restored parity in the score-line soon after to send the sides in level at the interval.

It looked like the game would finish all level, but second half substitute Tear settled the game in Town’s favour with an 87th minute strike.

Town’s starting XI included three Under-16 players and a first start for Under-15 defender Mason O’Malley at left back.

Highlights of the game will appear on HTTV next week!
