TOWN’S TEAM vs READING

9 January 2016

Wagner makes three changes to starting XI

- David Wagner names HTAFC starting XI
- Murphy, Davidson & Paterson all come in
- Nahki Wells makes 200th English appearance

Huddersfield Town Head Coach has made three changes to his starting XI for today’s Emirates FA Cup Third Round game against Reading; 3pm kick-off at the John Smith’s Stadium.

Town has not been given permission by Aston Villa to play loanee Jed Steer in the competition, so goalkeeper Joe Murphy makes his 13th start for the Club.

The second change comes at left back, where the departed Ben Chilwell’s place is taken by Australian international Jason Davidson; it’s his second start of Wagner’s tenure following the away game at QPR last month.

The final switch is in midfield; Emyr Huws isn’t in today’s match day squad after suffering with illness all week, so Jamie Paterson comes into the team.

New loan recruit James Husband is named on the substitutes’ bench today, where Philip Billing and Duane Holmes also return.

Top scorer Nahki Wells is making his 200th appearance in English football this afternoon. In 148 starts and 51 substitute appearances, the Bermudian has scored an impressive 82 goals.
