Huddersfield Town’s Under-21 side travels to Bramall Lane in a top of the Professional Development League 2 North table clash against hosts Sheffield United on Monday afternoon.

The young Terriers will be full of confidence on the back of their impressive victory against Southampton in the Premier League Cup Round of 16 at St Mary’s on Monday; highlights of which are below via HTTV.

Monday’s victory extended the unbeaten run to 16 games in all competitions for Frankie Bunn’s side as in the continued push for league and cup success; a run that includes 15 wins.

On Monday, Town’s U21s face one of their toughest tests of the season so far as they make the trip to South Yorkshire to face second-placed United.

A 1-1 draw at home to Crewe Alexandra ended Town’s 14 match winning sequence in the last league game, but Town can still go 13 points clear at the top with a victory on Monday.

The Blades, currently coached by Travis Binnion, Brian Deane and former Town Coach John Dungworth following Chris Morgan’s departure to Chesterfield, are unbeaten in their last six games and could close the gap on Town to seven points with a win.

When the sides met earlier this season, the young Terriers edged a tight affair 1-0 thanks to a goal from skipper William Boyle.

Admission to the game at Bramall Lane is priced at £3 for adults and free for Under-16s.

In the PDL2, teams can play a maximum of three overage outfields and an overage goalkeeper.

If you can’t get to the game on Monday afternoon, (kick off is 1pm) you can follow team news and updates of the score on Town’s official Twitter account, @htafcdotcom. Highlights of the game will appear on HTTV on Tuesday.
