Wagner makes one change to his starting XI

- David Wagner makes one change at Aston Villa
- Jack Payne replaces Nahki Wells in starting XI
- Dean Whitehead on the bench after suspension

Huddersfield Town Head Coach David Wagner has made one change to his starting XI for tonight’s Sky Bet Championship game at Aston Villa; 7.45pm kick-off.

After netting his first goal in the second tier as a substitute to secure Saturday’s 2-1 win at Newcastle United, Jack Payne is restored to the starting XI tonight.

He replaces Nahki Wells, who is among the substitutes having completed his first 60 minutes of the season just three days ago following his pre-season knee injury.

That means two players with links to Aston Villa start this evening. Jonathan Hogg turned professional with tonight’s opposition, making seven starts for the Villans between 2009 and 2011, whilst Redditch-born Joe Lolley is a Villa fan.

The other change to tonight’s squad is among the substitutes, where Dean Whitehead returns following his three match suspension to open the season. He takes the place of Slovenian 20 year-old Jon Gorenc Stanković, who has still travelled with the squad.
