Over 3,000 people came to Town’s PPG Canalside training ground for the Club’s Annual Firework Display, held in association with club partner Standard Fireworks.

Gates opened at 5pm last night and there were plenty of activities for attendees as well as the spectacular fireworks display that ended the evening above the skies of HD2.

Club partner Pulse 1 started the evening with live music and entertainment which was hosted by their Breakfast show hosts Danny and Rosie and included performances from Alexandra Carlos and Thomas Teago.

There were also a number of fun fair rides and attractions for all the families to enjoy during the evening as well as twelve stalls from local businesses selling a variety of food and drink.

West Yorkshire Fire and Rescue were also in attendance, showing off the West Yorkshire Fire Service’s 2016 ‘Red Hot Dates’ calendar. Children were also given the opportunity to sit in a fire engine!

The West Yorkshire Police’s Community Support Officers were also there to help raise awareness and there were people from Football in the Community who put on games for the children, measuring how hard they could the ball.

Town’s First Team players Sean Scannell and Harry Bunn also came along to the fireworks display at PPG Canalside to sign autographs and pose for pictures with Town supporters.

Everyone’s favourite mascot ‘Terry the Terrier’ came to visit Town’s young fans and began the fireworks show alongside young Terrier, Harry Walker, the winner of the Standard Fireworks poster competition and both of Town’s visiting First Team players.

The spectacular fireworks display began around 7:30pm and lasted for around 15 minutes.

Huddersfield Town’s Events Co-ordinator, Katie Barraclough said: “It was incredible to see thousands of supporters and local people come along to our annual fireworks display at PPG Canalside on Sunday Evening.

“I would like to thank all the people who attended and our partner Standard Fireworks, who put on a spectacular display at the end of the evening.

“The feedback we have received on the event has been amazing and it’s been a fantastic event to be a part of.”
