The young Terriers travel to Thorp Arch for West Yorkshire derby
Town’s Under-18s face Leeds United this Saturday as the players look to further their lead at the summit of the Under-18 Professional Development League 2 North table.
The young Terriers currently have a five-point cushion above closest challengers Coventry City and will be buoyed by the fact they won last time out; a 1-0 home victory against Barnsley in which Rekeil Pyke grabbed the all-important goal.
Tony Carss’ side were 3-1 victors when they faced Leeds United earlier on in the season, with midfielder Regan Booty being the star of the show that day. The first year scholar had a hand in all three goals; Fraser Horsfall scored the first following a free-kick from Booty, who then went one better and scored a set-piece before the scoring was complete when his cross forced a United defender to score an own goal.
Leeds United’s youngsters currently occupy eighth position in the nine-team League, but are in decent form having won 3-1 in their last outing away to Sheffield United.
The 11am kick-off is at Leeds’ Thorp Arch training ground; LS23 7BA.
As always, Town’s Twitter account - @htafcdotcom – will have the team news and any updates of goals as they go in on Saturday afternoon.
