To mark 10 years of the Football League Awards, The Football League and Football Manager have teamed up to find a ‘Team of the Decade’ based on players that have starred for Football League clubs in that period.
As part of the selection process, Huddersfield Town can nominate up to four players to go forward to the judges – one goalkeeper, one defender, one midfielder and one forward. The judges will base their selection of the final XI on performances by players in Football League matches.
Only players that have featured for the Terriers from the 2005/06 season onwards are eligible.
We want fans to help us decide the Club’s nominations by emailing their chosen player(s) to flawards@htafc.com; please put your full name, postcode and client reference number (if you have it) on the email. It’s only one nomination per position for each supporter!
The closing date for entries to the Club is 5pm on Tuesday 24 February.
Based on the input from supporters, the Club will then send its nominated players to the Football League for consideration for inclusion in the Football Manager Team of the Decade for the Football League Awards 2015. The results will also appear on htafc.com in due course.
The final team of 11 players will be announced at the Football League’s Awards ceremony on Sunday 19 April at The Brewery, London – the 10th anniversary of the event.
The shortlist for manager of the Team of the Decade will be decided with help from the Football Manager online community.
