Town defender plays in win over Italy

- Jordan Williams makes England U17 debut
- Huddersfield Town Academy defender plays 90 mins
- Possibly two more caps for Meltham-born defender 

Huddersfield Town Academy defender Jordan Williams earned his first England Under-17 cap during tonight’s 3-0 win over Italy in the St. George’s Park International Tournament.

After the full time whistle, Jordan tweeted the following message:



Town’s Academy Manager Mark Lillis and Lead Professional Development Coach Tony Carss were in Telford to watch the game and also tweeted:





Jordan and England have another two games scheduled in the tournament; a game against Turkey at Walsall on 28 August and a final fixture against Portugal to be played at Burton Albion on 30 August.

The centre back, who hails from Meltham and joined the Academy at nine years old, is currently in the Under-16 group at Town’s Academy.
