Powell hands debuts to three summer recruits

- Davidson, Cranie & Whitehead handed debuts
- New boys Dempsey & Hiwula on the bench
- Scannell, Vaughan & Lolley injured

Huddersfield Town Manager Chris Powell has handed debuts to three of his summer signings for today’s Sky Bet Championship opener at Hull City; 3pm kick-off at the KC Stadium.

Jason Davidson, Martin Cranie and Dean Whitehead all make their competitive Terriers debuts this afternoon, whilst fellow summer recruits Kyle Dempsey and Jordy Hiwula are named on the bench.

Otherwise, there are three senior absentees this afternoon. Sean Scannell is at the KC, but has been ruled out with a tight hamstring; Joe Lolley hasn’t travelled due to a shin issue and James Vaughan cannot feature after suffering a concussion through a training collision on Thursday.

There’s a first appearance on the First Team bench for the Development Squad’s Norwegian midfielder Sondre Tronstad today.
