SCANZ IS FEELING GOOD AHEAD OF FOREST

19 February 2013

Winger wants to continue good form

Sean Scannell has received plenty of plaudits over the past week following his scintillating goal against Leicester - and the winger is determined to continue his good form.

“It has been good to be playing regular; I have enjoyed the last couple of weeks,” Scannell told htafc.com.

“When I am playing games regularly, I am forever getting fitter, which means I can perform better for longer on the pitch. I am feeling really good at the moment.

“I feel like I am playing close to my best, but I believe I still have plenty more to give the team," he said.

Scannell has played a key role in Town’s slight turn around in form and has appreciated the support he has received from the Club’s fans.

“We have been playing well of a late and hopefully we can get back to the form that we showed at the start of the season. All I can do is keep doing my best for the team.

“The fans liked me at Palace and I am glad that the Huddersfield fans have taken to me. All I want to do is give them something to get excited about.”

The 23 year-old has enjoyed the past couple of days under new manager Mark Robins and believes the Terriers have the ability to earn a result tonight against Nottingham Forest.

“The past couple of days have been really good and he has talked to us a lot about how he wants us to pass the ball and play football. The changes won’t be over night, but over time the fans will see them and hopefully we will start moving up the league.

“I am hoping we get a win tonight, but it will be a very tough game. They are doing OK in the league, but if we perform to the best of our ability then I am sure we can win.”

You can pay on the gate at the City Ground; £10 adults and £5 under-16s!
