TOWN’S TEAM vs. FOREST

3 August 2013

Team news from the City Ground

Huddersfield Town Manager Mark Robins has named his starting eleven for the opening fixture of the Sky Bet Championship season at Nottingham Forest this afternoon; 3pm kick-off at the City Ground.

Robins has handed competitive Huddersfield debuts to two of his summer recruits this afternoon; Martin Paterson and latest signing Jonathan Hogg.

Elsewhere in the side Scotsman Paul Dixon makes the 250th League appearance of his career, whereas former Forest man Joel Lynch lines up in central defence as expected.

The Terriers are expected to line up in a 4-2-3-1 formation today, with goalkeeper Alex Smithies protected by a back four of Paul Dixon, Joel Lynch, Captain Peter Clarke and Jack Hunt.

New boy Jonathan Hogg lines up in central midfield alongside Oscar Gobern behind the more advanced trio of Sean Scannell on the left, Adam Clayton on the right and Martin Paterson in the ‘number 10 role’.

Reigning Player of the Year James Vaughan makes his first competitive appearance as a permanent Huddersfield Town player in attack.

International clearance came through for Spanish striker Cristian Lopez on Friday evening, so he takes his place among the substitutes alongside fellow new boy Jake Carroll.

The Terriers will be in their all yellow third strip this afternoon, sporting the logo of Thornton + Ross brand Covonia.
