TOWN'S TEAM vs. WOLVES

13 April 2013

Clayton & Gerrard back in starting XI

Huddersfield Town Manager Mark Robins has made two changes to his starting XI for today’s npower Championship game against Wolves; 3pm kick-off at Molineux.

After scoring on his seventh appearance for the Terriers last weekend, Murray Wallace drops out of the team as Robins opts for the experience of Anthony Gerrard in defence – he is fit after missing the Peterborough game with a calf injury.

The other change comes in midfield, where Adam Clayton returns to the side following his two match suspension at the expense of Scott Arfield.

Town’s side is expected to line up in a 4-2-3-1 formation this afternoon, with goalkeeper Alex Smithies targeting a 12th clean sheet of the season behind a back four of Paul Dixon, Anthony Gerrard, Captain Peter Clarke and Calum Woods.

In midfield Oliver Norwood, who turned 22 on Friday, partners Oscar Gobern behind the more advanced trio of Sean Scannell on the left, Adam Clayton in the middle and Neil Danns on the right with top scorer James Vaughan leading the line in attack.

Wallace and Arfield drop to the bench today alongside fit again Keith Southern, who returns after three months on the sidelines due to Achilles surgery. Tom Clarke, Lee Novak and Chris Atkinson make way.
