Gerrard makes full debut in single enforced change

Huddersfield Town Manager Simon Grayson has made one enforced change to the starting XI for tonight’s npower Championship game at Blackpool; 7.45pm kick-off at Bloomfield Road.

With Joel Lynch serving the first of his three game suspension following his red card at Sheffield Wednesday last week, Anthony Gerrard steps up to make his full debut for the Terriers at centre half.

Town are otherwise unchanged and are expected to line up in a 4-4-2 formation tonight. Goalkeeper Alex Smithies will be protected by a back four of Paul Dixon, skipper Peter Clarke, full debutant Gerrard and Jack Hunt, who is making the 100th start of his career this evening. Oliver Norwood and Blackpool old boy Keith Southern will operate in midfield with Adam Clayton on the right and Danny Ward on the left, leaving Lee Novak and James Vaughan to lead the line.

With Gerrard starting, Scottish youngster Murray Wallace steps up to the bench tonight where he is joined by Anton Robinson; the midfielder replaces Jimmy Spencer among the substitutes.
