LOAN WATCH – SINNOTT MAKES DEBUT

10 December 2012

A report on Town’s four loaned-out players

Two of Huddersfield Town’s young professionals were in action for their respective loan clubs over the weekend.

Liam Ridehalgh – Rotherham United
21 year-old Huddersfield Town Academy graduate Liam played all 90 minutes in his home debut for npower League 2 promotion chasers Rotherham United on Saturday, but they came out second best against League leaders Gillingham – with former Miller Deon Burton netting both Gills goals in a 2-1 victory.

This was left back Ridehalgh’s third appearance for Rotherham since joining them on loan in late November, adding to 16 appearances for previous loan club Chesterfield earlier this season.

Steve Evans’ side have a break from League action on Tuesday night when they travel to npower League 1 side Notts County for a FA Cup Second Round replay. Liam will be ineligible for that game, but will be hoping to regain his place in the side when United play at AFC Wimbledon on Saturday.

Jordan Sinnott – Altrincham
Central midfielder Jordan made his Altrincham debut in the Blue Square Bet North on Saturday, but a crowd of 728 watched on as visitors Gainsborough Trinity executed a smash and grab 1-0 victory.

‘Sinbad’ had the game’s first shot on goal inside two minutes, stinging the palms of visiting ‘keeper Jan Budtz, and forced the former Doncaster Rovers custodian into more work with another shot in the 38th minute.

He was eventually replaced in the 75th minute, but he’ll be looking forward to another game away at Droylsden on Tuesday night.

Matt Crooks & James Burke – Radcliffe Borough
Development squad duo Crooks and Burke were denied their debuts for the Boro on Saturday, as their game at Salford City fell victim to the frosty weather.

They’ll be hoping for better luck on Saturday when they host Prescot Cables in the Evo-Stik League Northern Premier First Division North, when they’ll be looking for just their third League win of the season.
