Andrew ‘Brooky’ Brook was became Huddersfield Town’s first ever kitman in 1999, being handed the role by then Manager Steve Bruce.

Brooky had been here long before that though, first starting as part of the groundstaff at the then Alfred McAlpine Stadium doing painting & decorating!

His first game was a trip to the City Ground as Town faced Nottingham Forest on 14 November 1999 with Town winning 3-1 thanks to a brace from Clyde Wijnhard and a goal from Kevin Gray.

Town’s kitman has also made two playing appearances when they were short on numbers. The first replacing Jon Worthington in a reserve game against Salford and the most recent in Colin Coates’ testimonial in 2002 where he was a second-half sub for Jermaine Beckford!
