Town Under-18s suffer defeat
- Town U18s defeated by Crystal Palace
- Young Town side lose by four-goals
- Forest away next up for Bromby’s side
Huddersfield Town Under-18s suffered defeat at home to Crystal Palace on Saturday morning, losing out by a four-goal margin.
The Under-18s were looking to build upon their 2-1 victory at Queens Park Rangers in their previous game, as they welcomed Crystal Palace to PPG Canalside for their Professional Development League tie.
Leigh Bromby made three changes to the side that won at QPR introducing Ethan Vaughan, Jake Kelly & Matty Daly in place of Jordan Thomas, Saul Milovanovic and Mason O’Malley.
The game didn’t get off to the best of starts as Town found themselves two goals down within the first 10 minutes. The first of which was scored in the fourth minute of the game with the second coming in the 9th minute.
Palace got their third of the afternoon in the 27th minute as they were awarded a penalty which was duly dispatched as half-time approached.
Town went into the break three-goals down as Bromby used all three of his substitutions introducing Ben Mills, Cedric Ondoa & Tom Bamford in place of Ethan Vaughan, Dahomey Raymond and Jake Kelly.
The subs made little difference as Palace grabbed their fourth and final goal of the game in the 66th minute; condemning the Young Terriers to defeat.
