This week, in recognition of Mental Health Awareness Week, we hosted a breakfast event for our Club staff to highlight the importance of wellbeing at Huddersfield Town.

As part of our Terriers Together initiative, the Club hosted an event this week to highlight our approach to the wellbeing of all individuals associated with Huddersfield Town – staff and supporters alike.

Building on ‘Time to Talk Day’, we encouraged our staff to talk to each other about how they really feel. By talking about mental health and supporting each other, we can continue to bust myths and break down barriers.

This year’s theme also focuses on ‘Movement: moving more for our mental health’, and so we’re encouraging Town staff and fans alike to find moments for movement in their daily routines. Whether that be going for a walk, dancing around your living room, chair exercises when watching television – it all counts! Huddersfield Town HR Manager Zoe Shackleton commented:

"We loved the success and feedback from a similar event we held for staff on Time To Talk Day, and we wanted to build on that during Mental Health Awareness Week.

"The wellbeing of our staff is of the utmost importance to the Club, and we are comitted to investing in the enrichment of our entire workforce. Building an inclusive environment through our Terriers Together work, this is yet another sign of that culture and mentality prevailing.

'Having recently retained our Mindful Empoyer status too, we want our Club to remain at the forefront of the conversation about mental health and see our staff reap those rewards."
