Kyle Hudlin has today joined Sky Bet League One side Burton Albion on loan for the remainder of the 2023/24 season.

His second loan away from the Club, he had spent some time with AFC Wimbledon in Sky Bet League Two shortly after signing for Town, before returning and operating within our B Team.

Standing at 6’9, the forward joined Town from Solihull Moors in 2022 before signing a new contract with the Club in the summer of 2023. Having scored once this season in 10 appearances in all competitions, Hudlin has been in the match day squad on 23 occasions this campaign to date.

Now joining Burton Albion for the remainder of the season, the Midlands based side are 15th in Sky Bet League One, with former Terrier Martin Paterson recently installed as Head Coach.

Huddersfield Town Sporting Director Mark Cartwright commented:

“Kyle has had to really step up this season with so many bodies missing within the group, and he’s applied himself well when he’s been called upon. However, with players returning from injury and two new strikers brought into the Club, heading out on loan is in his best interest.

“Playing consistent, competitive minutes at a good level will help him further develop all the things he’s been working on with ourselves this season, and we want him to continue showing the same application and work rate that earned him a new contract in the summer.

“While it’s obvious what potential strengths he has and the unique elements he can bring to any side, there are plenty other areas of his game that are also interesting, and will only get better with more playing time. We’re looking forward to watching on to see how he progresses in the coming months.”

Good luck, Kyle!
