CELEBRATE TOWN’S FOUNDATION’S #WEARBLUEANDWHITEDAY

26 January 2024

- It’s Wear Blue and White Day
- Help raise money for the Foundation’s Breakfast Clubs
- Show your involvement by using #WearBlueandWhiteDay and donate

Huddersfield Town Foundation celebrates its annual Wear Blue and White Day today to raise funds to support their delivery of the Breakfast Clubs.

The big day has arrived to embrace the famous colours of Huddersfield Town and raise some vital money for Town’s Official Charity and their Breakfast Clubs.

Serving over 2.5 million meals since its inception, the Breakfast Clubs provide children affected by poverty to have the best possible start to a day of learning with a nutritious breakfast.

Local businesses have already kickstarted their fundraising for the day. Hartley’s Bakers and Confectioners’ shops in Lindley and Brighouse have been selling Foundation cupcakes and Terrier Biscuits all this week until Saturday afternoon, with the proceeds from these sales being donated!

GIFT in Lindley is currently having a small competition to raise funds, whereas staff at Fired Up Corporation will be wearing blue and white to work, as well as having a bake sale to donate profits.

Participants from the Town Foundation’s programmes have already executed activations in the buildup to the day. On Tuesday, Walking Football attendees donated over £130 to the Foundation after wearing blue and white to the session.

A group from Seated Exercise, a session delivered by the Foundation through the Active Through Football programme, attended their usual Thursday gathering in Town shirts and blue-and-white clothing, raising over £60.

Pupils from the Foundation’s Premier League Primary Stars partner St Thomas Primary School designed some ‘Wear Blue and White Day’ posters to raise awareness before Friday’s activities.

On Thursday, during the Premier League Inspires Challenge in the Big Red Suite at the John Smith’s Stadium, students from Castle Hall Academy, Whitcliffe Mount School, and Salendine Nook High School Academy, who were all championing social action projects to help with people’s mental health, helped to spread the word alongside Town stars Ben Wiles and Tom Edwards!

However, attention now turns to Friday, and we cannot wait to see everyone wear our colours with pride, as well as the other activities on show – make sure to tag the Foundation’s social media in your posts whilst using the hashtag #WearBlueandWhiteDay!

Our own Terry the Terrier will be popping up across Kirklees to surprise certain schools that will be taking part today.

And it’s not too late to take part! CLICK HERE to find out more about what you can do today!
