BRODIE SPENCER RECALLED FROM MOTHERWELL LOAN

3 January 2024

Northern Ireland international back at Town.

- Brodie Spencer recalled from loan at Motherwell
- Defender made 19 appearances for Scottish Premiership side
- Spencer now returns to Town immediately

We can confirm that the club has today recalled Brodie Spencer from his loan at Scottish Premiership side Motherwell.

The Northern Ireland international has started almost every game for Motherwell during his time north of the border; 18 in total, with one further substitute appearance.

Having started the season at left wing back, he has more recently switched to his natural right side and captained the team for the first time in their recent game against Scottish giants Rangers.

Brodie, who extended his contract with Town ahead of his loan move in August, played six games for our First Team last season.

Our Sporting Director Mark Cartwright explained:

“We’ve watched Brodie closely during the first half of the season and his loan has achieved everything we wanted it to. He’s established himself in the team in the top league in Scotland, has played in big games and will have learned so much from the experience.

“He now returns to us a better all-round player and adds to our defensive options for the second half of the season.”

Manager Darren Moore added:

“I’m really looking forward to working with Brodie. As Mark has said, he has done well during his time in Scotland, and now he returns to our club to challenge for a position in the starting line-up.”
