At Huddersfield Town, we’re proud to be one of the early adopters of the new West Yorkshire Fair Work Charter.

Created by the West Yorkshire Combined Authority and Tracy Brabin, Mayor of West Yorkshire, the West Yorkshire Fair Work Charter is an ambitious new initiative designed to support and celebrate great employers across our region.

It has been designed for employers of all sizes and across all sectors, to promote and recognise the positive impact of fair work on businesses and their people.

Fair work can include good pay, fair and flexible working conditions, as well as greater wellbeing, diversity, and social mobility within the workplace.

Town have been awarded ‘Fair Work’s status for our overall approach to our employees, but in particular our mentorship programmes and opportunities for young people were picked out as highlights.

Our focus on diversifying our workforce also fits very well with the framework of this new charter.

To celebrate that Huddersfield Town is an early adopter of this new charter, our Human Resources Manager and Equality Lead Zoe Shackleton features in this video – check it out below or via this link!
