Long-serving Operations Director Ann Hough has departed her role at Huddersfield Town today (Friday 2 February 2024), ending her 30-year association with the club.

Ann initially joined Town at the old Leeds Road ground back in 1993 as PA to the Club Secretary and worked her way through the ranks to become Club Secretary and then Operations Director upon joining the Board of Directors in 2007.

Among her many achievements at the club over three decades, she helped the club make the transition to the John Smith’s Stadium in 1994 and played a key role in guiding Town through the administration of 2003.

Her loyal service and major contributions to both the club and community saw Ann named ‘Woman of the Year’ at the 2017 Yorkshire Awards, and she was also recognised as a Corporate Leader by the Forward Ladies organisation a year later.

Ann has also previously served as a trustee of the club’s charity, the Huddersfield Town Foundation, for several years.

Huddersfield Town Chief Executive Jake Edwards commented:

“Every owner, manager, player, staff member, and Huddersfield Town supporter owes Ann a debt of thanks for everything she has done for this club over three decades.

“Spending over 30 years at any professional sports organisation, or any one company, is incredible and will not be overlooked in the history of this club.

“As she departs her role, I know I speak on behalf of everyone at the club in sincerely thanking her for her contribution and in wishing her all the very best for the future.”
