Darren Moore’s first point as Manager of Huddersfield Town was earned in dramatic fashion, with central defender Michał Helik equalising with virtually the last kick of the game!
With the home side having the better of the play in the first half, they went ahead under fortunate circumstances thanks to a deflection of their own man bouncing into an open net seconds after Lee Nicholls had made an unbelievable diving save.
Town stood firm for the remainder of the half without much possession, but returned to the field a different side following the half-time break.
Playing with more initiative and confidence going forward, the Terriers had the better of the half and came close to equalising on a number of occasions, but seemed destined to fall short on the night.
Throwing men forward in the dying seconds, central defender Michał Helik was in the right place at the right time with mere seconds remaining, hooking a left footed effort into the top corner past Ben Wilson to spark huge celebrations.
An eventful first game in charge for Darren Moore, the point maintains Town’s momentum and extends our undefeated run to four, with two wins and two draws coming in that period.
