B TEAM GK ACQUAH LOANED TO FARSLEY CELTIC

1 September 2023

More senior experience for 19-year-old custodian

- Michael Acquah joins Farsley Celtic on loan
- A fourth loan for our B Team goalkeeper
- Step up into the National League North

Huddersfield Town B Team goalkeeper Michael Acquah has today joined Vanarama National League North club Farsley Celtic on a 28-day youth loan.

The 19-year-old joined our Academy from Southend Manor Farm in September 2021 and went on to sign his first professional contract at the club in November 2022.

This will be a step up the non-league ladder for Michael, following on from his previous loan spells with Sheffield FC, Brighouse Town and Emley.

Farsley, who are managed by former Brentford, Crewe Alexandra and Birmingham City striker Clayton Donaldson, currently sit 10th in their league table with nine points after six games.

They host Kings Lynn Town at their Citadel ground on Saturday.

Loan Manager David Fox commented:

“Michael has done well on loan previously, and each venture into senior football has helped him learn more about his own game and get used to the different challenges of playing in competitive fixtures.

“Having played with the B Team and trained with the First Team here, all that is missing for Michael is minutes in meaningful matches, which this move will allow him.

“Farsley are a good local club playing at a good standard, so there is nothing stopping Michael from going across and making a good impact for them in the next month.”

Good luck, Michael!
