Huddersfield Town Manager Darren Moore didn’t hide his disappointment at full-time, speaking after a heavy defeat away at Elland Road against Leeds United.
Finding themselves 4-0 down at the break, Town did improve in the second half with Michał Helik getting on the scoresheet, but the damage from the home side was done before the break.
Sharing his thoughts, Moore said:
“I take full responsibility for how it went today, from our perspective it just wasn’t good enough.\
“We felt there was a pivotal moment in the game at 1-0, we had a brilliant chance to counter attack and we didn’t quite take that opportunity.
“After that Leeds get two quick fire goals and the game runs away from us.
“Half time I had solidify the time, I made one or two changes to make us a little bit more solid but in the second half it just petered out.
“The least we expect is playing for pride, and that’s what we did after the break.
“Now we get back on the training ground and starting working, preparing for the next game.”
Following his interview with HTTV, Moore spoke to the local press and provided more detail on the injuries to Josh Koroma and Jack Rudoni that kept them out of the contest.
Disclosing that Koroma’s injury was not a long term concern, it was confirmed that Rudoni has sustained an injury to his foot that will keep him sidelined for some weeks, having consulted a specialist on Friday.
