It was a night to forget for Town on the road in the Midlands, with Birmingham City handing Darren Moore his first loss as Manager of the Club.
Having fallen behind early to a Siriki Dembele strike from distance, the home side were two up at the break after Koji Miyoshi turned home from close range. Dembele scored a second after the break before Jordan James scored from range late on to take the game away from Town even further, despite Michał Helik’s late consolation moments before.
Sharing his thoughts on the performance at full-time, Moore discussed what went for his side on the night and what they can do to improve going forward with a trip to Sheffield Wednesday awaiting on Saturday afternoon.
Moore also provided an update on a second half incident that was brought to his attention by the referee, in which Juninho Bacuna was racially abused by an individual amongst the home supporters. Darren condemned the incident, praising Tom Edwards to backing Bacuna in reporting the incident having heard it himself and offered Bacuna the full support of the Club, as well as Birmingham City with the investigation into the matter as a whole.
