TOWN TO PAY TRIBUTE IN ‘REMEMBRANCE’ GAME vs WATFORD

Huddersfield Town to pay respect at home on Saturday 4 November 2023

- Remembrance Day plans for Saturday’s fixture
- Royal British Legion to collect around the ground
- ‘The Last Post’ to be played before kick-off
 
We will make several tributes to honour the work done by our Armed Forces and remember those who have given their lives in conflict at home on Saturday afternoon.
 
Collectors for the Royal British Legion will be around the John Smith’s Stadium on match day to receive donations towards their cause, with supporters who are able to encouraged to give what they can afford.
 
Alongside this, a special poppy banner will be displayed in the centre circle from 2pm before the captains of both teams lay a wreath as a mark of respect.
 
Supporters in the Chadwick Lawrence Stand will be able to participate in a remembrance display, with banners located on each seat in the stand to reveal a mural when held aloft in unison.
 
Before kick-off, a bugler will play ‘The Last Post’ before awe observe a minutes silence, reflecting on the sacrifice made by those for the betterment of others.
 
After the game, our players shirts, specially embossed with the poppy emblem, will be auctioned off by Match Worn Shirt to raise money for the Royal British Legion.
 
Additionally, a special military training kit will be worn by the players during the pre-match warm up, which is still available for purchase online on shop.htafc.com – CLICK HERE, or in person at the Stadium Store, so you can support both your Terriers and our fallen heroes on Saturday.
