Huddersfield Town Manager Darren Moore has made one change to the starting line-up for tonight’s Sky Bet Championship game against Sunderland; 7.45pm kick-off at the Stadium of Light.
Unfortunately, Kian Harratt is set for a spell on the sidelines due to the hamstring injury he sustained in Saturday’s 1-1 draw with Southampton, so Delano Burgzorg returns to start his first game in four since his knee issue.
The starting line-up is otherwise unchanged from the stalemate against the Saints, which means Sorba Thomas makes his 100th competitive appearance for the Terriers tonight.
Matty Pearson also makes the 400th league appearance of his career.
There are some welcome returns among the substitutes this evening, with the headline being the inclusion of Danny Ward. The 32-year-old has missed the last 12 games with an Achilles injury and then illness but returns to be part of a Darren Moore squad for the first time tonight.
He is joined by defender Loick Ayina and midfielder Tom Iorpenda. Both players impressed in the B Team’s 1-0 Premier League Cup win at Newcastle United on Friday evening, which was Ayina’s first game back following a heel injury.
Moore is without Lee Nicholls (neck), Josh Ruffels (groin), Jack Rudoni (foot), Ollie Turton (knee), Kian Harratt (hamstring), Ben Wiles (hamstring), Pat Jones (hamstring), and Kyle Hudlin (groin).
