LOAN: LUKE DALEY JOINS YORK CITY

24 November 2023

Huddersfield Town B Team left-back Luke Daley moves to National League on loan

- Luke Daley signs for York City on loan
- Huddersfield Town B Team defender departs until January
- Comments from Loan Manager David Fox

Town B Team left-back Luke Daley has today joined National League side York City on loan until 2 January 2024.

The second loan of his Town career, Luke has previously spent time with Gateshead, and he will make the move to North Yorkshire on back of some involvement with Darren Moore’s First Team squad having been an unused substitute on a couple of occasions.

Daley will now join up with York City at the LNER Community Stadium until the new year, gaining further competitive minutes and experience of first team football.

Huddersfield Town Loan Manager David Fox commented:

“This is a really exciting move for Luke at an important stage of his development. Playing competitive football in a first team environment is the best thing for him, and York City is a great club to get that opportunity with, competing at a really decent level.

“Having spent some time training with our First Team and doing enough to earn a place on the bench whilst other players were being rehabilitated, he can build on that experience and take the next step in his game if he gets his head down.

“We’ll be monitoring his progression and will support him completely while he’s with his new side, just as we do with all of our loan players.”

Good luck at York, Luke!
