Huddersfield Town duo up for Manager of the Month and Player of the Month for April
- Neil Warnock nominated for Manager of the Month

- Winners of Sky Bet Championship awards for April announced tomorrow
Town Manager Neil Warnock and central defender Matty Pearson have both been nominated for Sky Bet Championship monthly awards after both impressing across six fixtures in April!
Both nominated for the first time this season, April was a crucial month for the Terriers as Neil and the team collected 11 points, winning three games, drawing twice and losing just once.
That period included eye-catching victories over Middlesbrough and Watford in consecutive games, with draws against Play-Off chasing Blackburn Rovers and Sunderland coming before a crucial first ever away win at the Cardiff City Stadium.
Having last won the award in October 2020 at Middlesbrough, Warnock has been named Sky Bet Championship Manager of the Month a record 11 times across his illustrious career.
With four goals and an assist to his name across the month, this is a first award nomination as a Terrier for Matty Pearson who played every minute possible in the all-important run. He was last shortlisted for a month award back in December 2019 in Sky Bet League One while playing for Luton Town.
Neil is nominated alongside Rob Edwards (Luton Town), Paul Heckingbottom (Sheffield United) and Russell Martin (Swansea City) with the Sky Bet Manager of the Month judging panel comprising of former Barnsley manager Danny Wilson, Sky Sports’ EFL expert Don Goodman and Sky Bet EFL trader Ivor Davies.
Matty is joined on the shortlist by Manuel Benson (Burnley), Gustavo Hamer (Coventry City) and James McAtee (Sheffield United) with the Sky Bet Player of the Month decided on by a panel of Sky Sports’ EFL expert Don Goodman, EFL Chief Executive Trevor Birch and Sky Bet EFL trader Ivor Davies.
