Blue & White Members have voted Matty Pearson as Huddersfield Town’s 2022/23 Player of the Season!
Despite missing the beginning of the season due to a lengthy foot injury and making his return away at Hull City in January 2023, Matty Pearson pulled through to win the Blue & White 2022/23 Player of the Season award in a close battle with Michał Helik, with Jack Rudoni picking up the rest of the votes.
Since coming back in January, Matty Pearson has scored five goals and contributed to the second goal scored against Cardiff City on Sunday 30 April and all of this in his 16 games played.
Our defender has worked tirelessly since his return, along with the Tom Lees and Helik, to help secure the wins in defence as well as push forward and score goals up front, and re-build the Terrier Spirt.
In the end, due to the votes of from our Blue & White Members, Matty Pearson has been voted as the 2022/23 Huddersfield Town Player of the Season.
Clive Douthwaite from Birkby and junior member Ethan Guest from Horbury voted for the defender and will get to meet Pearson ahead of the final game of the season against Reading and present him with his champagne. They will also each receive a shirt signed by Pearson.
