Martyn Waghorn spoke to HTTV at full-time and shared his happiness with being involved in the goal that earned Town a point on the night, but said the second half performance might have deserved more.
Reflecting on the result at full-time, the on loan forward told HTTV:
“I felt like we applied some good pressure late on, obviously they went down to 10 men which gives you a boost going forward and on another day if things went different we might have nicked it.
“In the end it’s a good point against a good team, going forward we know there’s difficult games coming up but it’s a good start, and hopefully we can build on that at the weekend.
“We’re competing, we’re working hard and we’re grafting.
“When you’re down there, it’s all about that little bit of luck and unfortunately we’re not getting it at the minute but hopefully the point today we can spin it in our favour.
“We’ve got to keeping sticking in, I thought the lads fought ever so well today and showed great character and determination which is what it’s going to take to get us out of this situation and I think we showed that in abundance today.”
